Beautifully engraved certificate from the AmSouth Bancorporation issued in 1990. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an allegorical man and woman flanking the company's logo. This item has the printed signatures of the company’s chairman and secretary and is over 10 years old.

The company has nearly 650 branches in nine states in the Southeast (although it plans to exit Arkansas and Kentucky). The company's primary subsidiary is AmSouth Bank, which provides a variety of financial services to individuals, small and midsized businesses, and large corporations. These services include retail and commercial banking, investment management, trust services, leasing, and brokerage services. The regional player has been growing its private banking business and its presence in Florida to help out that state's numerous retirees looking to increase their retirement income.
