PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Beautifully engraved SCARCE certificate from the Atlas - Globe China Company dated 1927. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the company's name in a fancy border. This item hand signed by Company�s President ( A O C Ahrendts ) and Secretary ( W. A. Blanksehaen ).

A O C Ahrendts was the owner of Bradshaw China Company of Niles, Ohio which he acquired in 1921. The company operated under the name Crescent China for a short period of time. It then changed its name to Atlas China which operated from 1921 - 1926. In 1926, Atlas China Company merged with the Globe China Company of Cambridge, Ohio, and became the Atlas Globe China Company.

O C Ahrendts also had interests in the Guernsey Earthenware Company and the Oxford Pottery. In 1934, all of A O C Ahrendts' companies were aquired by Universal Potteries.
