Beautifully engraved specimen certificate from the Bally Manufacturing Corporation printed in 1968. This historic document was printed by the Security-Columbian Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of an eagle with its wings spread. In 1994, Bally Manufacturing Corporation changed its name to Bally Entertainment Corporation.

In 1996, Hilton acquired Bally Entertainment, which added Bally's Park Place Casino-Resort and the Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort to Hilton's portfolio, and positioned the company as the world's largest casino operator.

In 1998, Hilton spun off Park Place Entertainment at the close of 1998. Shortly thereafter, Park Place acquired the Mississippi gaming operations of Grand Casinos. The company also agreed to sell its Kansas City casino to Trump Hotels & Casinos following allegations of bribery surrounding the award of its Missouri gaming license in 1993. Park Place's 1999 purchase of Caesars World, the gaming operations of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, for $3 billion extended the company's operations across nearly 30 gaming properties worldwide. That year, Park Place also opened the French-themed Paris Las Vegas hotel/casino on the Strip, complete with a 50-foot Eiffel Tower replica.

Park Place in now the world's largest casino gaming company which has almost 30 resorts in five countries, including star attractions like Caesars Palace and Bally's Las Vegas. Beyond the Vegas Strip, Park Place owns casinos in Atlantic City (Atlantic City Hilton, Bally's Park Place), Mississippi (Grand Casino Biloxi, Grand Casino Gulfport), Louisiana, and Indiana. The company also owns stakes in casinos in Australia, Canada, South Africa, and Uruguay. Its newest showplace, Paris Las Vegas, simulates the ambiance of Paris with amenities such as a row of slot machines called "Le Jacque Pot" and a replica of the Eiffel Tower.
