Beautifully engraved certificate from the Huber Manufacturing Company issued in 1943. This historic document has an ornate border around it. This item is hand signed by the Company's Vice President and Secretary and is over 59 years old. This is the first time we have had this certificate for sale. The Huber Manufacturing Company manufactured steam and gasoline tractors, threshers and road-building equipment. The Company was founded by Edward Huber. He was an inventor, an industrialist and a mechanical genius, and was Marion, Ohio's first entrepreneur. As the founder of several manufacturing companies including The Huber Manufacturing Company, he was known for his inventing and manufacturing of farm machinery -- most of all for developing the first workable gasoline tractor. Prior so the development of the gasoline tractor, he was nationally known for his Huber steam engine and for grain separators. His steam engines and thrashing machines are favorites for collectors of early farm machinery. Edward Huber also found time so be a community leader. His influence on the Marion area was great as his companies provided major employment. His legacy lives on as his business savvy left the companies in good financial health, making it possible for them so remain in business.
