Beautifully engraved certificate from the Internet Capital Group issued. This historic document was printed by the Jeffries Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the Company's name. This item has the printed signatures of the Company�s President and Secretary.

Founded in 1996 by Safeguard Scientifics and others, Internet Capital Group (ICG) invests in the development of the business-to-business (B2B) Internet market. ICG owns stakes in a network of about 70 companies, including VerticalNet (online vertical trade communities), Internet Commerce Systems (internet food marketing), and Arbinet (network services). ICG also invests in network infrastructure service providers, including ClearCommerce (e-commerce transaction processing) and Breakaway Solutions (e-commerce and system integration). Hit hard by the sudden parting of Internet shareholders from their wealth, ICG has been forced to search for survivors among its stable of companies.

The company's stock was trading around $200 in January 2000 and now is trading around $1.00.
