over 66 years old.
Certificate Vignette
During World War II, the government of Japan issued War Bonds using the Japanese Finance Ministry (Okurasho), the Japan Hypothec Bank (Nippon Kangyo Ginko) and the Postal Savings Bureau (Chokin Kyoku). The proceeds from these bonds were used to fund the war effort. The start of the Great East Asia War was launched with the bombing of Pearl Harbor and Manila and the invasion of Malaya. This bond (20 yen) was issued by the Japanese Finance Ministry during 1942 and 1943.
