PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Beautifully engraved RARE certificate from the Strasburg Land and Improvement Company issued in 1892. This historic document has an ornate border around it. This item is hand signed by the Company’s President ( Dr. Granville A. Brown, )and Secretary ( R. M. Crawford ) and is over 110 years old and shows some signs of wear. This si the only example of this certifcate we have seen. The certifcate was issued to Joseph A. Suttle.

The officers of the Strasburg Land and Improvement Company were as follows:

J. S. B. Thompson, President

G. A. Brown, Vice President and General Manager

Rob't W. Crawford, Secretary and Treasurer

The company subdivided building lots in 1892 and was instrumental in the building of the town of Strasburg.
