Beautiful RARE stock certificate from the Lucky Coon Gold Mining Company, Limited issued in 1899 for 500 shares. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the Lucky Coon. A gold horseshoe on the gold corporate seal. This item has the signatures of the Company's President, Geo H. Hillye and Secretary, Carroll Corson. The certificate is in excellent, uncancelled condition. Rare certificate with very few known examples.
Certificate The Lucky Coon is part of the Mine Center district, Ontario, Canada. In 1899, Lucky Coon Gold Mining Company Limited produced a small amount of gold. The workings consisted of four shafts sunk to depths of 33 m, 23.8 m, 15 m and 7.3 m. The mine was worked again in 1935-1936 by Russell C. Cone.
