Beautifully engraved Reorganization Certificate of Deposit from Phoenix Mining Company issued in 1893. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with the company's name on top center. This item has the signatures of the State Ttust Company's Secretary, J. Q. Adams and is over 112 years old. Considerable charges and counter charges were leveled before the company finally got down to mining gold ore. By 1892, Rothwell reported that the company, has at last settled upon plans for improving its property, and is now erecting a mill which will be in operation early in the coming year (E&MJ, 1887, p. 128; Rothwell, 1893, p. 175; Burchard, 1881, p 292 - Holabird).
