Beautifully engraved certificate from the Rockwell Manufacturing Company issued in 1958 - 1964. This historic document was printed by the American Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the company logo between twoallegorical men. This item has the printed signatures of the Company's President ( Willard F. Rockwell, Jr ) and Secretary ( M. J. Caol ) and is over 39 years old.

In 1925, Willard Rockwell assumes the presidency of Pittsburgh's Equitable Meter and Manufacturing Company while retaining his post at what had become Wisconsin Axle Company. Equitable later became Rockwell Manufacturing Company. In 1973, North American Rockwell acquired the Collins Radio Company. Also, North American Rockwell merged with Rockwell Manufacturing. Headed by Willard Rockwell, Jr., Rockwell Manufacturing was the direct descendant of the Equitable Meter and Manufacturing Company. The new entity is named Rockwell International. In 1979, Willard F. Rockwell, Jr., retired from the chairmanship of Rockwell International. In 2001, Rockwell spins-off Rockwell Collins avionics and communications business unit to shareowners. Rockwell International Corporation changes its name to Rockwell Automation.
